CUB3D deployed Faro laser scanners to capture detailed 3D point clouds of the existing conditions and the new vessel. This allowed for clash detection and a digital lift simulation, identifying issues and preventing potential lift failures. Adjustments were made prior to the lift to avoid clashes and highlight pinch points for the crew.
