The term “cubed” is derived from the mathematical concept of cubing a number, which involves raising it to the third power. To cube a number, you multiply it by itself three times.

The term “cube” itself comes from the Latin word “cubus,” which means “a die,” or a small cube-shaped object used in games of chance. The term was later used in mathematics to describe a three-dimensional object with six square faces of equal size, such as a Rubik’s Cube or a dice.

In modern usage, the term “cubed” is often used to describe a number that has been raised to the third power, or to describe a cube-shaped object or its dimensions. It can also be used metaphorically to describe something that has been made more complex or intensified, as in the phrase “CUB3D laser scanning solutions” used to describe our innovation services.
